Enterprise Trunking
The following outlines the new enterprise trunking feature. This will specifically aid enterprise trunking customers who will be adding a significant number of SIP trunks and channels. The enterprise trunking feature as well as the updates/changes to some areas of the Ivy interface seek to enhance the management of instances and minimize the chance of issues arising as a result of incompatible configurations.
Add Enterprise Trunk Instance
A new toggle button has been added to the add New Instance form (hover over Instances in the dashboard menu and select the New Instance option). When the enterprise trunking toggle button is switched to off/inactive, the list only displays clients that are NOT enterprise trunking clients. When the enterprise trunking toggle button is switched to on/active, the list only displays the enterprise trunking clients. Once the necessary information and changes to the new instance have been inputted and saved, the selection made to enterprise trunking toggle button (e.g. on/ff or active/inactive) cannot be changed and/or undone. If the enterprise trunking feature does not appear in the add new instance edit form or there are any issues regarding the list of thin clients displayed, please contact Teliax support.
The instances that have the enterprise trunking option configured as on/active have access to solely make a few adjustments to the Location and Phone Numbers features. The 'Create Seat' option is not available in an enterprise trunking instance. The default location is available for edit, however, new locations cannot be added and the default location cannot be removed/deleted. When a user hovers over the 'delete' icon of the default location record, the icon will be shown as greyed out and non-selectable. A tooltip with a message stating that the user 'cannot delete this resource' will be displayed. Furthermore, you are able to add a new phone number as well as edit and/or delete existing phone numbers. The origins and routing of the phone number(s) associated with the respective instance is also shown. When editing a phone number record, you are able to change the name associated with the phone number and/or transfer the phone number to a new instance. The option to change the destination of a phone number is unavailable in the phone number edit form and cannot be done.
This feature must be enabled by Teliax support and will not be visible until then.
